Pardee Homes VP Brings Greenbuild Tips to International Builders Show
Los Angeles , CA, Jan. 16, 2009 —Pardee Homes Vice President of Marketing Joyce Mason will present her company’s perspective on green building and marketing at the International Builders Show in Las Vegas. Mason joins Steven DeWan, AIA of Bassenian/Lagoni Architects for “Green by Design: 12 Tips to Transform any Plan into a Green House Plan” on Tuesday, January 20, 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in South 233 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
DeWan and Mason will explore the planning/design/build path for “getting to green” as defined by NAHB Green Building Guidelines. Case study material will show green and sustainable applications of an individual home, a neighborhood and a community. Examples will reflect Pardee Homes’ early entry into green building as a regional production homebuilder.
“We initiated our commitment to more energy efficient and greener homes a decade ago, and many are designs and community plans we have created in collaboration with Bassenian/Lagoni,” said Mason. “Our presentation will cover concepts behind these projects, and the bottom line details builders of variously sized companies need to make green building work for them.”
Mason is Vice President of Marketing for Pardee Homes and a member of CBIA’s Building Industry Institute Advisory Board, which addresses green building and marketing throughout California. Mason plays a key role in Pardee’s leadership position in energy efficiency and green practices, spearheading the 2002 launch of the company’s LivingSmart® brand.
