Pardee Homes CEO Mike McGee To Join
Builders’ Hall of Fame
Los Angeles, February 20 —The California Building Industry Foundation (CBIF) Hall of Fame has selected Michael McGee, Pardee Homes’ President and CEO, as a 2007 Hall of Fame inductee. The CBIF will celebrate McGee’s induction on May 29, in conjunction with PCBC®—The Premier Builders Show, the nation’s largest regional conference for the homebuilding industry. CBIF’s Hall of Fame includes 156 men and women credited with long-term advancement of homebuilding, construction, development, marketing, finance or related services within the building industry in California. The honorees also devote themselves to public service through civic, social and philanthropic organizations in their communities.

McGee is one of six industry leaders to be inducted this year, and is the sixth Pardee Homes executive to be so honored. Pardee Homes’ Hall of Fame predecessors include company founders George Pardee, Jr., Douglas Pardee and Hoyt Pardee; David Landon, former president and CEO; and Vance Meyer, former executive vice president and COO.

Heading Pardee Homes since 2000, McGee leads the largest wholly owned subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company (WRECO), a subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Company. WRECO President Dan Fulton, WRECO said McGee’s induction is a great source of pride to his company.

McGee has been with Pardee Homes since 1988, and his professional background includes comprehensive experience in residential development, entitlement and strategic planning. He has served Pardee Homes and WRECO in California, North Carolina and Washington.
McGee is an active member of the California Building Industry Association (CBIA), and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He is a Member, Institute of Residential Marketing (MIRM) and serves on the Board of Directors of HomeAid America and PS Business Parks (“PSB”:AMEX). He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University and of the Light Construction and Development Management Program at UC Irvine. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.
Pardee Homes maintains regional operations in Corona, Irvine, Sacramento, San Diego, Valencia and Las Vegas. The U.S. EPA has presented its Sustained Excellence Awards and Energy Star® Partner of the Year honors to Pardee Homes for ongoing commitments to energy-saving measures. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has honored Pardee Homes in its National Green Builders program and in the Energy Value Housing Award program, where program partners include NAHB’s Research Center, the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
